Iman Vellani Denies Kevin Feige About MCU Detail

The young Iman Vellani, who will play Ms Marvel, took advantage of an interview to show her knowledge of comics and disagree with none other than Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios.

The point that the interpreter of Ms Marvel claims that Kevin Feige is wrong is as to which universe exactly the MCU is located within the Multiverse. In the comics, the Marvel Universe is designated as 616 on the scale of the multiverse. It was created by Alan Moore and used by many comic book creators over the years.

Moving from comics to cinema, the movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” claims that the reality of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was number 616, after this was also mentioned briefly in “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.

But Iman Vellani, a young actress who will play the heroine Ms Marvel in a new Disney+ series and also in the movie “The Marvels”, a sequel to “Captain Marvel”, disagrees with that. In an interview with Deadline, Vellani got into the matter and stated that Kevin Feige is wrong and the MCU is not Earth 616.

“No, I mean, I’d like to say that’s 616, I can’t believe the MCU is 616! As much as Kevin Feige makes you think it’s 616, it’s 199999,” the actress said quite confidently.

The reason Vellani defends this so confidently is that the comics themselves designate the MCU to be on Earth 199999. This information can be found in volume 5 of the “Official Guide To The Marvel Universe Update”, an official guide to the Marvel Universe, that clearly the actress, an avowed fan of the comics, has already read and knows well.

The actress who will play Kamala Khan, the Pakistani-American heroine who is a fan of the Avengers, is a huge fan of comics and has already commented on this in SFX Magazine. “I think we’re staying true to what the comics have brought. The themes have always been about identity and marrying the 50 million things that make up Kamala. For all I care, she could shoot sausages from her fingers, as long as she still goes on this journey of self-discovery.”

“Ms Marvel” debuts on Disney+ on June 8.
