One of the measures implemented by the company was to redirect message exchanges to a dedicated application: the Facebook Messengerwhich you don’t necessarily need to use to talk to someone.

Send messages without Facebook Messenger

Before you continue reading this article, we want to alert you to the fact that there is no solution as radical as circumventing the “base functioning” of one of the largest social networks in the world. We will not, therefore, present a novelty implemented by the company that allows you to circumvent its rules, but rather present different possibilities.

The truth is that not all users are Facebook Messenger fans. Launched in 2011, this service, in the form of a mobile application, has always focused on offering various communication possibilities. Before this split, Facebook allowed the exchange of conventional messages through the conventional platform, but the situation changed 7 years ago.

The company therefore decided to separate one of its pioneering services from the rest of the platform so that, over time (and updates), more functions could be added and there would be cross-compatibility with any device that was in use.

But not all people with a Facebook account are willing to do the same. download of yet another application, so some even chose not to do so. However, even those who use Facebook Messenger do not need to use it to send messages through that social network.

Use a browser

Even if you are not using a computer, the truth is that you can, in the same way, use a browser on a mobile device (either a smartphone or one tablet🇧🇷 Remember that, before there were mobile applications, there were already social networks, namely Facebook.

For this reason, it is still possible to access this and other pages through a browser (be it Safari, Chrome, Firefox, among others). However, it is known that the user experience is much slower when compared to what an app offers.

Even so, it is still impossible to access Facebook through a browser. This means that everything you do when browsing the social network on a computer, you can also do on a mobile device – including sending and receiving messages.

For this reason, all conversations (groups included) that you can have on Facebook Messenger are also on the main platform, so you don’t need to use the app to chat with whoever you want. It’s a poorly optimized service, but still perfectly possible.

Use other app(s)…

For whatever reason, if you don’t want to use Facebook Messenger to have long-distance conversations with friends or family, the truth is, you don’t have to. There are a number of other applications that allow you to send and receive messages just as quickly and intuitively – and at no cost.

Communications based on the use of the Internet are the future, and have been for some years now. Nowadays, it is possible to make calls (voice or video) not only on Facebook Messenger, but also through other applications.

The number of functions that exist grows day by day, as does the offer of services that, nowadays, you can find for iOS and Android – and practically all of them are free. At a time when the longevity of traditional communications is starting to be questioned, the fact of not having to spend extra money on a communications service online it is a great asset.

So, just a quick search on the store of your device to be aware of the number of applications that exist. If you don’t like Facebook Messenger, you can choose any other communication service.

…or wait and see what happens

The technological advance is impressive and daily it presents new functionalities, gadgets and ways of relating through electronic devices. Competition is very strong in either area, and the same is true for Internet-based communication platforms.

Today, Facebook’s monopoly seems to have no end and, in addition to the millions of users it has, it is not limited to managing or owning a single company. After buying Instagram and WhatsApp, Zuckerberg’s company announces new changes to the way we communicate.

One of the main novelties is the merger of Facebook Messenger with WhatsApp and the Instagram messaging service. With this, the company wants to save users from “jumping” between apps to access certain conversations.

That said, if none of the previous solutions are valid for you, you can only wait and wait for more news, as the change is coming soon and may represent another alternative to Facebook Messenger.
