This winter, viewers have been able to follow Merja, Lasse, Monica, Rooger and 24 other singles in the popular dating series Hotel Romantik. On Sunday, the last episode of the year will be broadcast and now it is clear that the popular program will get another season.
– Swedish dating TV has found a new love with the super hit Hotell Romantik. Our brave and love-thirsty participants have reached an audience of one million every week and now we are doing season 2. I am looking forward to a new hotel, new participants and a new debate about the longing for love after 65, says Anton Glanzelius, program director at SVT.
The response from the viewers has been great and there have already been 1,200 applications for the new season, which will be broadcast in 2024. Casting continues through April and at the end of May it is time for recording.
About Hotel Romantik – season 1
28 love-thirsty 65+ singles traveled to the Swiss Alps in search of the one. The schedule included activities such as high-altitude courses, tobogganing, paragliding and forest raves. Each evening ended with dinner and dancing, and tour guides Kristina “Keyyo” Petrushina and Erik Ekstrand appointed the couple of the evening, who were given an overnight stay in a romantic alpine cabin. Now on Sunday, the answers about the couples will come – who chooses to go home and who chooses to stay behind for a romantic week with a newfound love?
