holidays and fun on the island that never sleeps

It is a holiday destination with a lot to share, between beaches and fun. But don’t worry, what happens in Ibiza, stays in Ibiza.

The parties, the boho hippie atmosphere, the music that invades the spirit… Ibiza is, in summer, the obligatory stop for some of the best DJs in the world, such as David Guetta, Sven Väth, Armin van Buuren, which helps to give it the reputation of being a holiday destination for party lovers, the so-called “clubbers”.

All this happens, of course, mainly from May to September, when temperatures rise and Ibiza’s modest population is swallowed up by millions of strange tourists who arrive in droves.

But this sun-kissed island is much more than that. We bet you don’t even know that there is a place there that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. To find out more about Ibiza beyond the parties, stay tuned for what we have to share with you.

What should you visit in Ibiza?

Dalt Vila

This is Ibiza’s classified historic site. Dalt Vila is a fortification first used by the Phoenicians and later occupied by a list of subsequent civilizations.

Currently, it has a peaceful atmosphere, not least because vehicle access is prohibited in most of the streets. It is an essentially residential area, where numerous medieval mansions are still visible, which seem to be protected by the cathedral that is located right at the top of the hill.

Ramparts, the walls of Ibiza

The Ramparts are the colossal walls that surround Dalt Vila, over 25 meters high, as if offering protection to the island of Ibiza.

They are particularly beautiful at night, when the strategically placed lighting comes on, giving it a magical setting.

Natural Park of Ses Salines

It has more than 168 square kilometers and is a natural reserve classified as a World Heritage Site, making it a place of great beauty to visit in Ibiza.

It is a place complete with swamps, salt flats, beaches and cliffs covered with pine trees, which seems to become the ideal safe haven for 210 species of birds.

Trucador Peninsula

White sands that look more like sugar and turquoise blue water are the basis of the beauty of this place, which is living proof that you don’t need to go to the other side of the world to find dream beaches.

The Trucador Peninsula is part of the protected Parc Natural de Ses Salines and, therefore, its access requires the payment of an admission fee of €6 for cars and €4 for motorcycles.

Es Vedra

The island of Es Vedrà has one of the most amazing views of the balearic islandsbecause it rises in the form of a volcano, in the Mediterranean Sea in a surprising way.

It is a place associated with many local myths and legends, from UFO sightings to apparitions of the Virgin Mary.

benirras

The silvery bay of North Benirràs is a dream spot to watch the sunset, even offering a certain calm compared to the hectic summer life of Ibiza.
