There is no doubt that Gwen Stefani looks much younger than her 53 years. Here are the routines the star engages in to maintain her youthful appearance!
There are no shortcuts to health – and even though Gwen Stefani is a world-famous artist and TV personality, her beauty routine is hardly an exception to this rule. Below we list four healthy habits that contribute to her fresh appearance.
She protects herself from the sun
Vitamin D in all its glory, but it can be too much of a good thing. Today, Gwen Stefani is careful to protect herself from the sun, but in Forbes she has told me that she wishes she had used more sun protection when she was young:
“I would tell my younger self to stay out of the sun and use sunscreen. I was a lifeguard when I was younger growing up on the beach in Orange County. We didn’t really know that the sun could do the damage it does to our skin. But I was lucky, because in my 20s I stopped sunbathing,” she says.
She is meticulous about makeup removal
Not removing makeup before bedtime can cause several skin problems, including clogged pores, acne, collagen breakdown, and premature aging. Gwen Stefani is aware of the risks of leaving makeup on overnight:
“Before bed, I always take off my makeup and apply a moisturizing cream,” she tells Forbes.
She works out at least four times a week
Gwen Stefani’s former personal trainer, Mike Heatlie, worked with the star for many years. IN Shape he shares his recommended workout routine to get a physique similar to Gwen’s:
“I would recommend a high-intensity strength training routine combined with cardio,” he says. “My clients choose four to five exercises and perform them without rest between sets, followed by one to three minutes of high-intensity cardiovascular work.”
According to Heatlie, the training sessions should be a maximum of 60 to 75 minutes and performed at least four times a week.
Her diet consists mainly of vegan food
According to The Inquisitr Gwen Stefani has been a vegetarian her entire adult life, and nowadays she mainly eats vegan food. In addition, she eats “lots of vegetables and limits her consumption of processed foods,” according to the site.
