Three years after becoming an official partner of Cree with a successful implementation in Portugal, the Casais Group will further strengthen its strategic partnership by becoming a reference shareholder.
The task of transforming an industry is not an easy one, but both companies have shown the rest of the industry the way forward and collaborated on some iconic projects. With forces united and firmly moving in the same direction, future prospects now look more promising.
Cree’s innovative construction methods have a clear growth curve, with the last few years full of new partnerships, projects, and more than 200,000 m2 built.
The company is now entering an exciting expansion phase, with significant growth and new projects expected from 2023.
The Casais Group therefore comes at the right time, joining the Rhomberg Group and the Zech Group as a shareholder, to help shape Cree’s future and boost its implantation in Portugal and abroad.
In turn, Casais will benefit from an even deeper involvement with the global Cree network and the incremental improvement of solutions for the various geographies. Likewise, Casais innovations such as Blufab are an invaluable complement to the current Cree component supply chain and prefabrication approach.
cost reliability
This consolidation of knowledge and resources was a key factor, says António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of Grupo Casais. “Competitiveness depends on access to a strong network of suppliers, especially in an inflationary period like the current one”, he says.
“We need to constantly offer customers cost reliability to close any potential quality disparities and to help meet deadlines”.
For this, the supplier networks and digital capabilities developed by both companies are a powerful combination. “We are now in a position to offer the ability to implement the same type of construction technology everywhere, providing the greatest possible number of tools for partners to reach solutions more quickly” adds António Carlos Rodrigues.
Big plans for the future
For Cree founder Hubert Rhomberg, welcoming Casais as a shareholder is a logical step towards a more active strategic involvement after years of success as an official partner.
It is also an opportune moment with the climb. of projects and the digital platform to show a strong upward trajectory for the coming years. “This is a clear sign that companies are paying attention to what we’re doing,” says Rhomberg.
“It’s further confirmation that we’re on the right track, and that the most innovative companies are becoming part of the Cree family.”
Casais stood out with its first Cree hotel in Guimarães, which will be completed next month. The two 4-storey buildings are the first Cree project for B&B Hotels in Portugal, but the next one in Madrid is already underway and has attracted the attention of developers and hotel operators across Europe, analyzing the potential of using the Cree system in other countries.
According to António Carlos Rodrigues, such interest underlines the potential of the Cree method. “From the beginning, we were drawn to Cree’s collaborative and knowledge-sharing mindset. When the opportunity arose to participate more deeply as shareholders, we saw that there is a lot of potential not only in Europe, but throughout the world”, says António Rodrigues.
“We are at a turning point in terms of involvement with global companies”, concluded the CEO of Grupo Casais.
