Grammys 2023: Beyoncé makes history and Harry Styles wins “Album of the Year”

Beyoncé made history during this weekend’s Grammy Gala when she broke the record for most wins ever. The heaviest award of the evening, however, went to Harry Styles.

Beyoncé became one of the big winners of this year’s Grammy Gala when she was named winner in a total of four categories, including “Best Dance/Electronic Album”. This means that with her total of 32 statuettes, she is the person who has won the most Grammys ever.

ABBA nominated in four categories

However, the gala’s heaviest prize, “Album of the Year”, did not go to Beyoncé but to Harry Styles for the album “Harry’s House”.

“During an evening like this, it is of course very important to remember that the concept of ‘best’ does not exist in music. I don’t think any of us are sitting in the studio making decisions based on what’s going to get us one of these,” he said, adding:

“This doesn’t happen to people like me very often, and it’s so, so nice.”

ABBA’s “Voyage” was also nominated in the “Album of the Year” category. Overall, the group was nominated in four categories, including “Recording of the Year” – a category won by Lizzo with the song “About Damn Time”.
