Genshin Impact will also have its card game • ENTER.CO

Tomorrow of important announcements for Genshin Impact. After presenting the first trailer for an anime series produced by Ufotable, it has been announced that a virtual card game inspired by the franchise is in development. But here the most interesting thing: it will not be a separate title, but a function within the same game.

Genius Invokation, which is its temporary name, will be a new activity where players can collect character-inspired cards. According to the information we have been able to obtain from the creators of the game, you will be able to invite NPCs in the game to participate, but it will also feature a PVP mode that will allow you to challenge other players.

It’s an addition… interesting? Considering the popularity of Genshin, it would be logical for the developer to bet on a virtual TCG separate from the main entrance. It’s what Riot did with League of Legends and the result is one of the company’s most popular spinoffs. Instead, Holoverse is going for a card game that feels closer to a mini-game like you’d find in other MMOs, rather than a game like Legends of Runeterra.

Some extra details: apparently it will be a collection activity and not to grind some kind of reward. In fact, players will not get anything for competing against other people. The cards, which represent characters within the game, will not be obtained through gacha either, but can be obtained within the game without the need to have any special rolls.

For now, you will have to wait a bit to see this feature in the game. The developers clarified that this card game will not be one of the things that will be implemented in version 3.3 of the game, which is scheduled for release on December 7.
