Edson Álvarez continues to be one of the most coveted Mexicans in Europe. Despite the fact that this season has not been so brilliant for Ajax Amsterdam, Machín is still on the radar of important teams from the Old Continent. Liverpool would plant a fight against Chelsea for the Mexican.
In the summer transfer market, Edson Álvarez had been tempted by Chelsea. Set Blue came to offer more than $50 million dollars for the Aztec, but the Dutch team decided not to accept the proposal and retain the Aztec. Now the London club would not be the only one interested in Álvarez.
Liverpool thinks about Edson Álvarez
According to information from Sky Sports, jurgen kloppLiverpool manager, would be planning to strengthen his club’s defensive system with a couple of players: a center back and a defensive midfielder. Edson Álvarez would enter among the candidates.
In addition to Machín there would be other players in the equation, such is the case of Nicolo Barella, Ismael Benanacer, Youri Tielemans, Rubén Neves, among others.
Edson Álvarez maintains a current contract with Ajax Amsterdam until June 2025. The Mexican is valued at $36.8 million dollarsaccording to data from Transfermarkt, but it would not be unreasonable for the Dutch team to ask a much higher figure for his footballer.
