Los Angeles Dodgers recaptured Dominican pitcher Rubby de la Rosawhich they had signed 16 years ago and who also has not pitched in the majors since 2017.
The 34-year-old pitcher signed an agreement with the Los Angeles ninth to pitch in the Minor Leagues and with an invitation to the training camps.
Besides, De la Rosa, has been pitching in Japanese baseball since 2019 and wearing the colors of the Yomiuri Giants, there he left a 2.53 ERA in 155 games played as a reliever, he also managed to score 33 games saved.
The pitcher was also part of the Boston Red Sox and the Daimond BacksIn addition, in 2011 he was considered among the 100 best prospects in the MLB. In the Dominican Republic, he has just signed with the Toros del Este to join his discipline in the regular season.
It remains to be seen if he manages to make a place in the Dodgers’ big team in the coming season or if he stays wearing the team’s jersey in the Minor Leagues.
