‘Doctor Strange 2’ gets a release date on Disney+

The wait is over! We already have the answer to the millions question about when “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” comes to Disney+? The streaming announced via Twitter this Thursday (2) that the film lands on the platform on June 22.

“Doctor Strange 2” hit theaters in early May and in a few days became the second best debut in the world since the beginning of the pandemic and the fifth largest in Brazil. The film, which features the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as the hero, was well received by fans and critics alike, and delved even further into the current Multiversus exploration of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The sequel intersects with both the story of Miss America (Xochitl Gomez) and Wanda/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). The new plot presented by the heroine, even became a reason for debate between fandons resulting in a position by screenwriter Michael Waldron, who defended the character’s arc. With the resounding success, Cumberbatch took the opportunity to state on another occasion that he wants to continue living the character for at least ten more years, guaranteeing fans another decade of stories with the Master of the Mystic Arts.

Directed by Sam Raimi, from “Spider-Man” with Tobey Maguire, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” marked the filmmaker’s return to the Marvel world and also brings references from “Spider-Man: No Return Home”, “WandaVision” , “Loki” and “What If…?”.
