The United States lost to Serbia with a score of 1-2 in a game marked by the expectation of the debut of Alejandro Zendejas with the United States National Team shirt at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. A match in which it also marked the debut of Team USA after being eliminated at the hands of the Netherlands in the round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
