Singer Courtney Love58 years old, announced that was about to have a leading role in the 1999 film “Fight club”but that she was “fired” from the project due to a conflict she had with the actor Brad Pitt long ago.
In a recent interview with Marc Maron Love commented that At the end of the 90s, she flatly refused to let Pitt play her husband Kurt Cobain (leader of the Nirvana trio and who died in 1994) in a biographical film. “I wouldn’t let Brad play Kurt,” he said, adding that even though he regretted making that decision then, he would still not sanction the project.
“My friend cameron crowe he told me that Brad Pitt was put on Earth to stalk me for Kurt, which has been going on since 1996.”Added Courtney, who had a discussion with the actor and which she considers the compelling reason for not being included in “fight club” (his character was eventually played by Helena Bonham Carter). “I told him, ‘I don’t know if I trust you and I don’t know if your movies are for profit. They’re great social justice movies, but…if you don’t understand me, you won’t understand Kurt, and I’m sorry you don’t, Brad.’”
