The film has just been released in the United States. “I wanna dance with somebody” about the life of Whitney Houstonand now Clive Davis -friend and discoverer of the singer- has been in charge of confirming that she had an affair with her assistant Robyn Crawford.
In an interview with Extra to promote the tape Davis spoke on the subject, after the incessant rumors that have run since the death of the artist in 2012: “The film makes the record straight: they had a year-long adolescent love affair…there have been so many articles that have tried to trace her (drug) addiction to being a frustrated lesbian, as well as her never dating a man before she met Bobby (Brown), which is totally inaccurate.”
Crawford continued to work on the Houston team and even attended their wedding in 1992; she three years ago she wrote a book titled “A song for you: my life with Whitney Houston” in which he gave details about the romance. Regarding the biopic Clive Davis He served as producer and in the story he is played by Stanley Tucci. british actress naomi ackie takes the leading role.
