Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández dedicated a moving message on social networks to Julián Araujo for his arrival at the FC Barcelona subsidiary. This Friday the Catalans made the announcement official after several weeks of controversy over the transfer.
Through his Instagram and Twitter account, Hernández spoke about the departure of his compatriot from the LA Galaxy of the MLS, a club where they met and became friends.
In the stories of his Instagram account ‘Chicharito shared a post from the team’s official account, where he wrote an affectionate message in English for the young Mexican. “My G, very proud of you. As I told you. To enjoy. Learn and give it your all. I love you little brother”.
In another story, the striker uploaded a photograph in which he appears melted in a hug next to the man born in California with the Galaxy shirt.
On the blue bird social network, Hernández also dedicated a tweet to Julián. The official account of the Los Angeles team uploaded the photo of both hugging, the veteran quoted the publication and left a message. “My bro”, accompanied by a green heart, was the response of ‘Chicharito’ on Twitter.
The striker and Julián Araujo coincided in three of the four seasons that the 21-year-old footballer spent with the LA Galaxy. The right-back played 108 games (96 starts), scored two goals and dished out 20 assists in all competitions.
The defender is already international for Mexico after having debuted in the Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino cycle on August 13, 2021 against Chile. With El Tri he has played three games so far, two of them as a starter.
It should be remembered that the signing of the defender by FC Barcelona was cut short in the last hours of the winter transfer market on January 31 due to a format error that prevented the documentation from being uploaded on time and which arrived with a delay of 18 seconds. He will now be under the orders of Rafa Márquez in Barca B.
