In total, 72,000 households from strata 1 and 2 will be able to access the Connected Homes program of the ICT Ministry.
With this initiative, cheap fixed Internet will be offered to families with the lowest resources. The purpose of the ministerial entity is to offer a possibility of Internet connection and promote connectivity throughout the country. The form is already enabled so that households in stratum 1 and 2 of 21 departments can pre-register for this program.
The connectivity benefit will be granted until December 31, 2022 and will cover 75 municipalities in 5 regions of the country. The connection operations that will be carried out in November will be carried out by Claro Colombia, with this affordability conditions are promoted for the most vulnerable families. These connections will cost households only 8,613 pesos for stratum 1 and 19,074 pesos for stratum 2.

- Live in stratum 1 or 2
- Being in one of the operator’s coverage municipalities
- Not having had an internet connection in the last 6 months
- Copy of a utility bill
- Copy of ID
The Connected Homes program may also be accessed by beneficiaries of Law 1699 as pensioners of the Military Forces or National Police. As well as the survivors of members of the Military Forces or National Police who died in the line of duty.
