Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding coordinators are now suing Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, as they believe he breached their contract. In the lawsuit, it appears, among other things, that Nelson at one point wanted to cancel the wedding because of the problems that arose during the planning of the event.
It was in December that Nicola Peltz’s father, Nelson Peltz, sued two wedding coordinators who had worked on Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham’s high-profile wedding last year.
The wedding coordinators, Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, were hired six weeks before the wedding and were fired just nine days later. Despite this, Nelson Peltz never got back his security deposit of nearly $160,000, he claims in a lawsuit that People have taken part in.
According to Nelson, the wedding coordinators did not have the expertise and resources required to arrange and execute a wedding of the “caliber and complexity” required given the “celebrity of the wedding couple combined with the expected presence of many significant guests.”
Spent $100k on hair and makeup
Now the wedding coordinators are suing Nelson in turn, as they believe he has breached their contract.
They believe Nicola’s mother, Claudia Peltz, tried to keep the amount of money she had spent on the wedding from her husband. She asked the wedding coordinators to do the same:
“Nelson Peltz is believed to have paid over $100,000 plus travel expenses for Nicola’s hair and makeup for the wedding,” the lawsuit states. “Claudia spoke up [en av bröllopskoordinatorerna] that Nelson was not told how much hair and make-up cost, otherwise he would ‘kill her, and be very angry’.”
Wanted to cancel the wedding
The lawsuit also states that the Peltz family constantly changed their guest list, which made it difficult to plan the wedding. They also didn’t want Brooklyn’s parents, David and Victoria Beckham, to find out that the organization of the event went badly.
“Both Claudia and Nicola have insisted that Victoria Beckham should not be made aware of any internal mistakes regarding the ongoing planning of their son’s wedding, including mistakes with the guest list,” the lawsuit states.
At one point, Nelson reportedly suggested that the wedding be called off. According to the wedding coordinators, Claudia then begged him not to cancel it, as this would “destroy Nicola’s career”.
