While BridgertonAs fans eagerly await a premiere date for Season 3 of the series, Simone Ashley, who plays Anthony’s love interest in Season 2, has revealed more about what we can expect from the upcoming season.
The costume drama Bridgertonbased on Julia Quinn’s popular books about an upper-class family in 19th-century London, quickly became a hit when the series was released on Netflix in 2020. Season two followed in 2022, and now fans are waiting for a premiere date for season three.
Simone Ashley on Season 3: “Different tone”
The upcoming season will reportedly focus on Penelope and Colin’s love story – but of course viewers will also get to follow many of the other characters from seasons one and two.
In an interview with British Vogue says Simone Ashley, who plays Kate Sharma in the series, that the new season offers an insight into her and Anthony Bridgerton’s life as newlyweds:
“We’re filming a dance this week and the tone is so different — cute, lovable and light, compared to how heavy their story was last season.”
She goes on to say that Kate is also busy adjusting to her new role as Vicomtesse:
“Although [Kate] appear tough, that type of person is usually soft on the inside. They develop a hard surface because they are vulnerable. You see her weaknesses and fears. She’s nervous and I think there’s strength in admitting that.”
