Last Thursday Aaron Rodgers successfully completed his isolation of three days in the dark in which he would take the opportunity to reflect and meditate on whether to continue with the Green Bay Packers, change teams or retire from the NFL after an 18-year career.

The quarterback announced days ago that he would enter a kind of spiritual retreat in a dark room in southern Oregon. Last Wednesday Scott Berman, owner of the Sky Cave Retreats company in charge of providing this service, announced that Rodgers had already completed his period of isolation.

As Berman explained, the quarterback’s room was 300 square feet, 28 meters, and consisted of a partially underground structure with no light, a bathroom, a queen-size bed, and a meditation rug.

Before locking himself in the room, the player confessed that he considered this method beneficial. “I think we could all use a dose of turning our phones off once in a while and disconnecting from society, some people don’t want to spend a few days and nights in the dark, and that’s okay.”

“I want to get a better idea of where I am in my life and this is exactly one way for us to better connect as people,” he added.

The four-time NFL Most Valuable Player quarterback has flirted with retirement after 18 seasons, 15 of which he has been undisputed with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers. Rodgers’ decision on his future is not yet known.

From his hand, the team from the North Division of the National Conference was able to be crowned in Super Bowl XLV, where he also won the MVP. The 39-year-old veteran is still contractually bound for one year and worth $59.4 million.

If it were the case that Rodgers decides to change teams, his future has been related to the New York Jets. In the last NFL campaign that concluded with the consecration of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers could not qualify for the playoff round and closed the season with a record of eight wins and nine losses in third place in the North division of the NFL. National Conference.
