A seller is auctioning off for nearly $100,000 the sand from the beach where Tom Brady retired from the NFL

A jar with sand from the place where Tom Brady, considered the greatest quarterback ever, announced his retirement from the NFL last Wednesday, It is auctioned in the United States for an amount that on the American morning of this Sunday is close to $100,000 dollars.

“The exact location of the withdrawal of Tom Brady – Bottled Sand”, is the announcement published on the ‘Ebay’ platform by a vendor who came to the site where the legendary quarterback recorded the video announcing his retirement.

With more than a week to go before the auction closes, 119 bids have already arrived and the best, as of 10 am ET, was for $99,900.

ā€œI’ll get to the point right away. I retire forever,” the player said on Wednesday in a short video posted on social media. in which he assures that, since one only writes a farewell speech once in his life, he was going to read the same text from last year.

ā€œThank you so much to each one of you for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever. There are too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dreamā€, stated the player.

Brady had made the same announcement on February 1, 2022, but just a month and a half later he backtracked, assuring that his work was not yet “finished.”

Collectors are willing to invest huge amounts of money to get their hands on Brady-related memorabilia and last year, nearly $500,000 was paid for what was believed to be the last touchdown ball thrown by the then Tampa Bay Buccaneers player.

That auction was ultimately voided after Brady announced his return to competition.
