Also, because narcissists have so much confidence and an enchanting charm, it can be hard to resist. For example, they might say: “Are you really going to be with me now that you’re going away for a while? Go hang out with your friends instead.” Then when you walk towards the door, they shout “Don’t go”, double message one might think. Finally no longer know what is right and what is wrong.
3. Everything happens on their terms
Narcissists expect you to live on their terms, prioritize their needs, and if you don’t, they quickly become upset and irritated. That’s because they are constantly dependent on confirmation and ego boost. If you have had an argument with a narcissist, it is very likely that you are the one who is allowed to apologize even though it is not you who should be doing it. They also lack empathy for other people and don’t see your needs.
