3 recipes to make your mouth water

Pumpkin cake is perfect to accompany the younger ones’ snack and ideal to serve in an afternoon tea with friends.

We have not one and not two, but three versions of pumpkin cake that will whet your appetite at home. They are great treats to sweeten your lunch or to end the meal with something comforting – because sometimes you really feel like it and we know that.

They are original and out-of-the-box recipes, so they can give the wrong idea that they ask for experienced hands in the kitchen or require extra time between ingredients. But the truth is, no: they are simple and relatively quick to prepare cakes – but they promise to surprise kids and adults, those at home and visitors.

Try the three recipes below and try to decide which one is the tastiest. We warn you right away that it will not be an easy task, after all, they are all incredible.

Pumpkin Cakes are delicious

You must be remembering the fried dumplings from pumpkin, so traditional for Christmas. But, forget it: these are other experiences.

Even if you can’t even associate pumpkin with slice cakes, let yourself be surprised by the sweetness of our suggestions and prove that they are great sweet options for any time.

Cinnamon Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients

  • 500g baby pumpkin (peeled and seedless)
  • 220g sugar
  • 250g flour
  • 100g corn starch
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tsp port wine tea
  • 3 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2 c yeast dessert
  • 150ml oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

preparation method

  • ÇSoak the pumpkin, broken into pieces, in salted water.
  • When it’s soft, drain the water very well and pass the pumpkin with a hand blender until it’s pureed.
  • In a container, beat the sugar with the eggs and then add the pumpkin puree and continue beating.
  • Then add the oil and beat again until well incorporated.
  • Finally, add the cinnamon, flour, cornstarch, yeast and port wine.
  • Mix until you get a smooth mixture.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees in a greased and floured mold for about 55 minutes.
  • Develop after cold.

chocolate pumpkin cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup cooked and drained pumpkin
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 50g chocolate chips

preparation method

  • Add the flour, sugar, eggs, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and oil.
  • Beat very well for the ingredients to bind and then add the nuggets, stirring some more.
  • Put this dough in a greased shape with butter and sprinkled with flour.
  • Take to preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Develop after cold.

Pumpkin Cake with Orange

Ingredients

  • 1kg pumpkin (peeled and seedless)
  • 5 eggs
  • 300g sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 1 orange
  • 200g flour
  • 1 c yeast tea

method of preparation

  • ÇCut the pumpkin into cubes and bring to a boil.
  • Once soft, drain and squeeze well.
  • Place in a container and let cool.
  • Then add the sugar and mix very well.
  • Add the orange juice and zest and the eggs and beat until well incorporated.
  • Melt the butter in the microwave and add to the dough. Engage well.
  • Finally, add the flour and baking powder and beat until obtaining a homogeneous mass.
  • Pour this dough into a rectangular tray lined with parchment paper and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.
  • Check that it is cooked with a toothpick and serve after it is warm.

One last tip, which can be used to make any of our three recipe suggestions: you can use any type of pumpkin, but we always recommend baby pumpkin as the most traditional way to prepare sweets.
