The greatest naval tragedy in history was the sinking of the titanicbetter known as the ship of dreams, which became a nightmare for the passengers on its maiden voyage.
Of this terrible tragedy, only 700 of the 2,224 people who traveled on the huge ocean liner survived. Today we bring you 20 never-before-seen images of what happened after the shipwreck and its survivors.
The first image has no date, only the year, 1912. It is the first person who saw the iceberg. Frederick, aged 24, served after being shipwrecked in both world wars, but committed suicide after a severe depression in 1965.
